Valentino SPRING 2024 READY-TO-WEAR
Inside Paris's École des Beaux-Arts, the Valentino Maison unveils its latest ready-to-wear collection, a fundamentally feminist celebration of the body in all its forms. Intricate workmanship melds with easy-to-wear basics and garments that accentuate the body below for a collection both powerful and personal.
On the show’s opening look, seen on Kaia Gerber, Pierpaolo Piccioli employs a new Valentino technique, altorillevo, sculpting ornate motifs into seemingly seamless three dimensions, creating forms that frame the body.
The genius Pierpoalo, another successful collection in Paris that included a performance from the icon FKA Twigs and front row scorpio king Penn Badgley.
RFBSTYLE loves so many of the looks, it was so earthy and elemental in the colour palette and design with floral motifs, big white button-up shirts that were perfect for a day of tennis and pink lemonade. The micro dresses that could be mistaken for stone carvings will be essential for a cocktail on the beach at dusk, RFBSTYLE can almost feel the air getting cooler, the sand whipping against my legs.
The casual approach however doesn’t dim the work and craftsmanship of the pieces on the runway, that immediately shines through as well.
