Angel Reese brought pure power and poise to the Met Gala 2025 red carpet in a custom look by Thom Browne—a masterclass in tailoring with a seductive twist.
Her outfit was a bold reinterpretation of the classic tuxedo—but not as you know it. At first glance, it appeared like a cropped black jacket layered over a crisp white shirt, but the illusion quickly gave way to fashion fantasy: sculpted corsetry, exaggerated hips, and a dramatic train all fused into one commanding silhouette.

The top featured trompe l’oeil details, sharp collar lines, and a mock pocket square. The corset was ultra-structured, laced with silk satin ribbons, cinched at the waist and flaring out into a drop-waist skirt embroidered with shiny black bugle-bead tuxedo stripes—a nod to the night’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme.

“I was going for super fun tailoring—and Thom Browne is the best at it,” Angel said. “This look snatches everything and makes me feel confident.”
Patent leather wingtips added edge, while Graff diamond jewelry and a vintage-inspired curled bob with a kiss curl brought a glamorous finish.
This is only her second Met Gala, but Reese is already rewriting fashion playbooks. She skipped the afterparties to rest up for her next WNBA game, reminding us that she’s not just a style star—she’s a pro athlete with unstoppable discipline.
Angel Reese isn’t choosing between fashion and the court. She’s claiming both.
“I don’t want to be known for just one thing,” she says. And it shows.
